Hair color get boring. We’ve all been there. Break-ups, seasonal changes, and celebrity trends lead us down the slippery slope of hair boredom. From there, hair boredom snowballs into dreaded hair mistakes and large salon bills. Worry no more–thanks to my friend behind Tinge Pastel conditioner, hair mistakes are a thing of the past.
Update your look and beat hair blues with Tinge Pastel conditioner.
This SF based company is taking hair trends to a new level of awesome. With a series of pastel color conditioners, they promise a three shampoo temporary color. Currently, I’m rocking the peach, but plan to go silver for the winter season.
This colorful goop comes in a small jar for $18, but don’t worry, Tinge Pastel conditioner packs a punch. With two treatment options, you can apply to dry hair for 30 minutes for more intense color (I would even add heat to this if you can) , or just condition in the shower like normal for a more muted tone.
I found Tinge Pastel on a google hunt to find a friend the best temporary hair color for a Cyndi Lauper Halloween costume. Lauper appeared in the SF Chronicle, sporting perfect bubble gum pink locks for the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. She wanted temporary color without an aerosol spray, leaving very few options for a one-night look.
While she settled on chalk for the big night, I opted to try Tinge Pastel, peach to refresh my Joico peach tresses, and purple for a friend trying to upkeep her deep purple ombre.
The goods arrived almost immediately (they only had a single bridge to travel) and Tinge Pastel liked me photo on Instagram with the first few hours. As the week went on, I threw a few more photos their way, this time featuring Halloween gore, and won free product for my hashtagging game. Twenty-four hours later, the silver tinge landed in my mailbox, and I couldn’t be more excited.
Of course Tinge works best on pre-lightened or blonde hair, but some of my favorite images on their Instagram feed offer just a little kiss of color on more “normal” heads of hair.
Tinge Pastel is a welcome relief in an otherwise spray, chalk, and hair mascara filled world. If you’re looking for a touch of purple, silver, pink, turquoise, or peach, Tinge is your one-stop-shop.
Excuse me, I must go condition my hair.
Peace. Love. and Bobby Pins.
