This weekend marks the final push for Halloween prep.
This week’s mood board is dedicated to Halloween’s past. Halloween is THE BEST as a kid. Ghosts are scary, people give you candy, and you get to dress up at school. Fast forward to adult Halloween: you still get to dress up, you many still believe in ghosts, and you hand out the candy. Most people believe adults love Halloween because it’s the single day of the year we can pretend to be someone else, but I think it’s the childhood memories. So here’s to the ghouls, ghosts, goblins, witches, and warlocks of your youth (Sabrina the Teenage Witch, I’m talking to you.)
While I’ve spend the month with Halloween on the brain, this week I’m tired out. So, this weekend’s inspiration will hopefully help get you in the mood, and get me some energy, for next weekend’s fright night.

My favorite costumes have often been inanimate objects. A few years ago, I went as Candy Crush Saga, with removable candy pieces on my dress. Before that, I dressed as a picnic with plastic ant beauty mark. Clever always gets you further than a slutty pumpkin, or Wonder Woman.
Last week I talked about my Halloween season entertainment, and I’m here to say that Crimson Peak will get you in the spooky mood, and may even inspire a gothic themed dinner party or a night at home reading ghost stories in a puffy sleeved gown.
Try cooking up some homemade churros, for a tasty treat. Or mix up some sparking apple cider sangria. And get serious with some chic pumpkin decor. Not into pumpkins? A DIY wreath might be just what you need!
Have a ghoulish weekend! Peace. Love. and Bobby Pins. xoxo A Follow
